Guys tell me... Reading her wants and desires is like Russian Roulette. Getting it on the right number can raise her joy up... or down. So, here are a few TIPS. Might help going over some learned ground rules too:
If you know the lady a brief time, pick up in your conversation book authors she likes, types of food, colors she seems to wear quite often. .........and keep your gift a little impersonal. scarfs, gloves, candy. I've known guys who kept notes on women in their little black books. "She has allergies - no flowers." "Loves dark chocolate."
If you are recently divorced or broke up with a long time roomy..... don't give the new someone ,,, something you would have picked out for the past lady........... a bathrobe??? Really !!!
A gift card - no no no.......make it fun. Take her to dinner or lunch... and go shopping in the store you would have bought the gift card for. Make it fun.
If you have known the lady a long time, listen for the hints. What does she stop and look at in the store window. What makes her happy? What does she notice and compliment other women on. Does she love live theater or special events? Mix it up, don't give her the same thing every year. Do not be predictable!!!
